The game ended up being exactly what we predicted in our pregame matchup analysis with a low scoring close contest that came down to the final minutes. Boston won this one with their tough defense putting up a defensive rating of 90.4. Game stats:

Bos: Big three played big minutes with Pierce getting 38, Garnett 36 and Allen 40. Pierce was dominant with 34 FP. Boston bench shouldn’t miss Posey too much with Powe and T. Allen picking up the slack. Boston won the game with defense as they did last season. 21.4% on 3-14 3P Shooting. Poor FT shooting at 61% on 21-34. Boston had no blocked shots.
